The Decision Ownership Checklist
Written by Jerald Lee. Thirteen years at Google building commercial teams across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. Now working with founder-led companies in APAC.
A checklist for working out which decisions should never have reached your desk.
For founder-led companies in Hong Kong with 20 to 200 people.

You handed off the client renewal process months ago. Somehow you're still the one who gets pinged when a renewal stalls. You delegated the hiring shortlist review, but you're still the one scanning resumes at 9pm.
This isn't a discipline problem, and it isn't because your team lacks initiative. Most of the time, what actually happened is that you handed over a task, but you never handed over the decision that sits underneath it.
The fix isn't a longer to-do list handed to your team. It's naming the decision, naming who owns it, and being specific about the line they're allowed to walk right up to without checking with you first.
If you are not sure whether this is your tightest constraint, the scorecard takes five minutes and tells you.

The pattern that shows up once you've mapped three to five decisions, and what it tells you to do next

Leadership coaching · Hong Kong & APAC
The checklist finds the gap. Coaching closes it.
Built by Jerald Lee, nearly 13 years leading sales teams at Google across APAC.
The Decision Ownership Checklist shows you where decisions still route through you. What it can't do is change the habits and structures that put them there. That's coaching work.
We coach founders and senior leaders across Hong Kong and APAC on exactly this: building a leadership team that decides without you. Not a leadership development program built on frameworks and certificates. Working sessions on your real decisions, your real team, in 30-day sprints.
If you searched for executive coaching or a leadership program, this is what that looks like here. The difference is the starting point: we begin with where your business is actually stuck, not with a curriculum.
A few things worth knowing.
Is this executive coaching?
Close, but scoped differently. Executive coaching usually develops the person. This develops the person and the system around them, so decisions stop defaulting back to you. If your problem is a leadership team that can't run without you, that's the version you want.
What does the coaching actually involve?
Work runs in 30-day sprints, Clarity first, then Action, then Integration. You'll know the shape and price of any engagement before you commit. Nothing is sold inside the first call.
Where do you work?
Based in Hong Kong, working with leaders across Hong Kong, Singapore, and APAC, in person or remote.
